With the goal of reducing the number of plastic and paper disposable bags handed out at the Saturday Farmers Markets from now until September, YVR and YVSC are beginning a collection of your “overstock” of reusable grocery bags (cotton, mesh, or other) so that we may distribute these at our Zero Waste tent at these events.
And thanks to a kind and generous sponsorship from Ski Town Cleaners, the bags will be washed before being distributed (please note, you should wash your reusable bags often!)
The bags can be dropped off at either Ski Town Cleaners locations (Central Park Plaza and Curve Plaza) as well as the YVSC office at 141 9th Street or brought directly to the ZW tent at markets any Saturday (6th Street, 9a-2p).
