Advancing Zero WAste volunteer Events
Please sign up below to be added to YVSC’s list of folks interested in working zero waste events! We have many events lined up for this summer, including the weekly farmers market, and we need YOUR help! YVSC will contact you with more information, including a calendar sign up available, to allow participants to schedule events they would like to help with. YVSC will provide ongoing zero waste event training for participants – so don’t worry if you’ve never participated in zero waste before. We look forward to working with you, and please reach out if you have any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are part of an organization that is interested in working a zero waste event to raise money, please be sure to complete the last question in addition to the survey.
Yampa Valley Climate Crew
The goal of the Yampa Valley Climate Crew is to give community members access to volunteer opportunities that address the climate threat facing our planet, so that they, too, can be a part of the climate action solution.
These projects will include tree planting, wetland and riparian habitat restoration, and site maintenance, all of which increase carbon sequestration and resilience. People of all ages are welcome to participate and give back to the natural landscapes that we all appreciate and receive so much from. You’ll have the opportunity to work on projects hosted by organizations like the US Forest Service, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, and yes, YVSC! There are many projects here in the Yampa Valley that address our climate crisis through carbon sequestration, and all they need is an impassioned labor force to do the job.
