Get all your questions about owning and operating an electric vehicle (EV) answered during the EV 101 Workshop at Howelsen Ice Arena.

Brought to you by Yampa Valley Sustainability Council, the City of Steamboat Springs, Yampa valley Electric Association and Northern Colorado Clean Cities, the day will begin with an EV 101 Workshop from 9-10 a.m. focused on learning how EVs and their charging stations function, and how they can save you money. An EV Ride & Drive event will take place after the workshop from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Howelsen Rodeo Grounds. To sign up to test-drive an electric vehicle during the Ride & Drive, please click here.

Yampa Valley Sustainability Council and the City of Steamboat Springs present an electric vehicle (EV) Ride & Drive event, where guests can test drive electric vehicles, get their questions answered and talk to other EV owners about their experience.

Attendees will have the chance to test drive Tesla, Rivian, Chevy Bolt, Subaru and Hyundai models. To learn more, please visit steamboatsprings.net/ev.

Come by the Bud Werner Memorial Library coffee shop to meet with members of the Colorado Green Business Network of the Yampa Valley team. No RSVP is required, just drop by, grab a free coffee and snack on us and ask any questions you have to our group of professionals. 2024 YBR Conference Agenda Draft

What: A two-day conference titled Connecting the Drops: Linking Weather, Watersheds, and Communities for a Resilient Water Future

When: May 29-30, 2024

Where: Allbright Auditorium, Colorado Mountain College, Steamboat Springs, CO

Why: To bring together members of the local community, researchers from the Center for Western Weather and Water Extremes (CW3E), and regional subject matter experts for two days of exploration, discussion, and field learning focusing on how scientists and community can work together to build resilience in the face of Western water crisis.

How: The Rendezvous will include morning talks by expert panelists and practitioners, lunch, afternoon field learning, and an evening community showcase and happy hour event.

Who: Join us if you are a community member, landowner, water and natural resource professional, student, or water-dependent business! Organized by the Center for Western Weather and Water Extremes (CW3E), Colorado Mountain College, Yampa Valley Sustainability Council, Friends of the Yampa, the Upper Yampa Water Conservancy District, River Network, Yampatika, and Community Ag Alliance.

Join Colorado Green Business Network of the Yampa Valley (CGBN-YV) to learn all about how your business or organization can benefit form being a part of the Yampa Valley Green Business Program.

The third installment of our four-part series will be held on May 29 from noon-1:30 p.m. in the Routt County Health and Human Services Community Room. The goal of the third workshop is to learn about the funding opportunities available for CGBN-YV participants. 

The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
