Readers might be surprised to know that there’s a daily bus that travels round-trip from Steamboat to Denver’s Union Station.  It’s a breeze to hop aboard a bus in Steamboat Springs (or Craig, Hayden, or Milner).  I’ve taken this ride to/from Denver often, and it is pure enjoyment to sit back, use the onboard WIFI, or simply enjoy the scenery that you’d otherwise miss if you were focused on driving your car.  What I appreciate about the service is that it’s stress-free, reliable, and budget-friendly.  The fact that it’s environmentally-friendly is a bonus!

From Steamboat, the bus leaves daily from the Transportation Center on the west end of town at 7:45 AM; arrival in Denver is at approximately 11:50 AM.  Once at Union Station travel to DIA airport is easy and swift, with no car to park and no parking fees to pay.  Heading back to Steamboat?  Hop aboard the return bus from Union Station at 3:15 PM and arrive in Steamboat at 7:25 PM.

The OutriderBus app is required to purchase a ticket.  Senior Fares are a bargain: one way to Denver is $13.50; regular fare is $27.  Visit ridebustang.com for a complete schedule.
