Public invited to water conservation educational event
Yampa Valley Sustainability Council, the City of Steamboat Springs and Mount Werner Water invite residents and businesses to learn more about water conservation in Steamboat Springs and Colorado at 7 – 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 14 at Library Hall.
Water conservation can help to sustain a healthy environment while improving the reliability of water supplies as the population grows and the climate warms. Guest speakers Kevin Reidy, State Water Conservation Specialist for the Colorado Water Conservation Board, and Courtney Black, Senior Water Resources Engineer with INTERA, will present on water efficiency programs and initiatives across Colorado and give an overview of the recently updated water conservation plan for Steamboat Springs.
To improve water conservation in our community, the City of Steamboat Springs and Mount Werner Water & Sanitation District are asking the community for input on the water conservation plan update at this event. Or, you can provide input online here. Learn more about this event at yvsc.org.
