Welcome to the 15th annual ReTree planting event, and the sixth year of the Yampa River Forest Restoration Program! This year’s community planting will be comprised of multiple days, the third taking place on October 12.
Over the past 15 years, we have planted over 24,000 trees in the Yampa Valley, increasing shade along the river to reduce water temperatures, improve riparian habitat and take carbon out of the atmosphere. On October 12, we will be planting approximately 80 trees on private property off Highway 131.
All are welcome to participate in this heartwarming, family-friendly event. Participants will receive a ReTree T-shirt custom-designed by local artist Jill Bergman, along with free snacks. Please click the button or register here. Stay tuned for directions to the site!
