Join a team to conduct seedling regeneration surveys this summer at the Silver Creek Burn Scar on Rabbit Ears and in Big Red Park. These surveys involve observing the vegetation in a given area and recording the types and quantities of trees that are returning.
Ideally, a small group of dedicated volunteers will come with us a few times and grow their skills and understanding of post-fire restoration efforts and research. This project is hard work! Volunteers can expect to hike off-trail in difficult terrain with steep slopes and down logs.
