Join Yampa Valley Climate Crew to repair and expand restoration structures in California Park!
We will be working to repair and expand Zeedyk rock structures built in 2022 and 2023 to ensure they continue their work restoring wet meadows. These techniques are considered “process-based restoration”, meaning they use the power of nature to restore degraded streams over time. However, periodic maintenance is required to ensure they continue to trap sediment and restore the water table within the wet meadows. With these structures working at capacity, we will ensure California Park’s wet meadows are retaining water and capturing carbon once again!
