YVSC is excited to partner with Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation and numerous local organizations and businesses to celebrate the 52nd year of Earth Day. The celebration will be held at the Base Area near the top and bottom of the escalator on April 9, 11 a.m. -3 p.m. All ages and individuals are welcome. 
This educational and fun family-friendly event will convene local nonprofit organizations and businesses to celebrate and share actions we can all take to be stewards of our beautiful Yampa Valley region. Children can partake in educational activities. Students will have the opportunity to explore the diverse array of career pathways in the environmental and sustainability fields. And, all attendees will learn about actions they can take that help protect the Yampa Valley, ranging from volunteer opportunities to simple steps to take at home.
Local artist, Jill Bergman, has created an original Earth Day 2022 poster for the event (pictured at right). Posters, high-quality prints, and stickers will be available for sale at the event. All proceeds from the sale of Bergman’s Earth Day 2022 items will be donated to Yampa Valley Community Foundation’s Environmental Fund.
