Everyone is encouraged to submit online comments for the EPA’s proposed Clean Power Plan (111d). This plan would require Tri-State (and many other utilities) to adjust to new energy regulations, thus assisting in addressing the current 5% renewable energy cap placed on SMPA and other electric cooperatives.
COMMENT HERE UNTIL OCTOBER 16:
SWEEP (Southwest Energy Efficiency Project) has been very active with this legislation, focusing on the Energy Efficiency portion of the plan. They have provided a draft of their 111(d) comments for others to use.
CLICK HERE for an explanation of 111(d) and SWEEP’s comments.
Please send this website link and SWEEP’s documents out to your contact lists, as appropriate.
