At our monthly community meeting yesterday, Karen Massey of the Routt County Extension Office for CSU and Barb Parnell of LiveWell Colorado presented the findings from the LiveWell Food Assessment survey. There are some surprising statistics in this study, you can find a copy of the assessment and the powerpoint presentation below.

Stay tuned for more information on the Local Food Movement including a resource page on the YVSC website (late Feb or early March), articles, posts, and informational ads throughout Nutrition Month in March and during National Agriculture Week the week of March 18, and culminating with the March Talking Green event on March 26th at the CMC Auditorium that will be a panel presentation and discussion on Local Food with representatives from Routt County Extension, Northwest Colorado Food Coalition, Community Agriculture Alliance, and Natural Grocers, along with presenting booths from local food co-operatives and community supported agriculture programs.
